Description
This is an introduction to disability inclusion for HR professionals. It challenges stereotypes and offers tips on how to interact respectfully and professionally with colleagues with disabilities. It also covers ADA basics and accommodations.

Learning objectives:

  • Define what "disability inclusion" means in the workplace

  • Use inclusive language and behavior to help employees with disabilities feel welcomed and supported

  • Build comfort in interacting with people with different kinds of disabilities

  • Define how the ADA protects employees with disabilities in the workplace

  • Define "reasonable accommodations" and take appropriate steps to provide them
